In 2019, the singer had occupied the same position, but when Ariana Grande published a photo with Kylie Jenner, she ended up enjoying the position. By early 2023, Kardashian dominated the platform and had around 380 million followers.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Selena Gomez said that even though she is the most followed person, she remains away from the social network due to comments that hurt her: “People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, whatever. But these people are detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and petty. I was constantly crying. I constantly had anxiety… I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of time.”

The actress also said that because of this, she was able to organize a method for her team to post publications on the social network: “There are wonderful things about social media – connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are and their stories .
