President Joe Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday (18), said Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The announcement was made after a conversation between the American president and the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Therefore, according to the secretary, during the trip, Biden will meet in person with Netanyahu to reaffirm the United States’ solidarity with Israel.
Blinken also announced that the two countries have agreed to develop a plan that will allow aid to reach civilians in the Gaza Strip.

“We share Israel’s concern that Hamas may confiscate or destroy aid entering Gaza or otherwise prevent it from reaching the people who need it,” he said.
Furthermore, according to the US Secretary of State, Biden will coordinate efforts with Israel to free the hostages held by Hamas.
After visiting Israel, Biden will travel to Jordan, where he will meet: The King of Jordan, Abdullah II; Egyptian President Abdul Fatah Khalil Al-Sisi and the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
