The former vice president of the United States during Donald Trump’s administration, Mike Pence, has decided to withdraw his candidacy for the Republican Party’s nomination for the 2024 presidential election.

He made this announcement last Saturday (28), during the Jewish Republican Coalition’s annual conference in Las Vegas.

During the event, Pence stated, “Although I have traveled across the country over the past six months, I am here today to state that this is not my time.”

Mike Pence had announced his pre-candidacy in June, but, according to ABC News portal 538, he was registering just 3.8% of voting intentions within his party. Former President Trump was the favorite among Republicans, with 56.9% support.
